Ten Oaks Equestrian Centre is a family orientated and run business with every member working together.
Ann
Mother
Ann has many years' experience of working with horses. Coupled around her family and raising four wonderful boys, she has developed a unique way of incorporating family life and enveloping it into her teaching.
As well as teaching, she has found time and energy to qualify as an NLP practitioner, life coach, regression therapist and hypnotherapist to mention but a few. As a naturally gifted horsewoman Ann can use these additional abilities and qualifications within her teaching style, giving a totally unique riding experience for horse and rider.
All the above therapies are available away from the riding school and within the quiet and beautiful surroundings on the family farm, a perfect place to meet and talk over issues that arise in life.
Ann is happy to welcome you to her home and her horses and to help you with whatever your individual requirements are.
Ann has a natural affinity with horses and puts people at ease no matter whether it is the challenge of your first ride or helping you up the ante for that next competition.
Ann has an uncanny way of seeing right to the heart of things, and her approach helps you understand how horses think, so learning with Ann is a unique experience that comfortably brings you on to be a more accomplished and a happier rider.
Lewis
Son
Lewis works alongside his mother with the day-to-day running of the business. Lewis also has a great teaching ability and installs his riding attributes onto who ever he is teaching.
Being a very competent trainer and rider, Lewis has developed his own abilities and specialisms which are very individual and different to his mother's so while they both share the same passions, their teaching styles are different.
In addition to rider training, Lewis has trained race horses and schooled numerous rides to bring them on for their owners and riders. This means we can provide training for all circumstances for riders and horses of all ages and abilities.
Lewis has been around horses since he could walk and enjoys taking rides out to the forest or the beach and can cater for the most experienced rider or the novice hack.
From an early age he was entering competitions and came home with many rosettes from numerous events and presenting them with a lot of pride to his parents.
This is where his competitive streak comes from and this can be visibly witnessed when we run our competitions and events.
He likes to WIN !!!!!
